How to use a helmet correctly

1. Before wearing a helmet, adjust the adjustment strap on the back of the hat to a suitable position according to your head shape, and then fasten the elastic strap inside the hat. The elasticity of the cushion pad is adjusted by the strap, and the vertical distance between the top of the head and the top of the cap body is generally between 25 mm and 50 mm, at least not less than 32 mm. In this way, it can be ensured that the cap body has enough space for buffering when it is impacted, and it is also conducive to the ventilation between the head and the cap body at ordinary times.

2. Do not wear the helmet crooked, and do not wear the brim behind the head. Otherwise, the impact protection of the helmet will be reduced.

3. The lower tie of the helmet must be buckled under the chin and fastened, and the tightness should be moderate. In this way, it will not be blown off by strong winds, or knocked off by other obstacles, or the helmet will not fall off due to the back and forth swing of the head.

4. In addition to the cap lining installed on the top of the helmet body, some also have small holes for ventilation. However, do not open holes for ventilation when using, because doing so will reduce the strength of the cap body.

5. The helmet will be gradually damaged during use, so it should be checked regularly to check for cracks, dents, cracks and wear, etc. If any abnormality is found, replace it immediately and do not continue to use it. Any hard hats that have been hit hard and have cracks, whether damaged or not, should be scrapped.

6. It is strictly forbidden to use a safety helmet with only the chin strap connected to the cap shell, that is, a safety helmet without a buffer layer in the cap.

7. Construction workers are not allowed to take off the safety helmet and put it aside or use it as a seat cushion during on-site operations.

8. When using safety helmets made of high-density and low-pressure polyethylene plastics, it should be noted that such safety helmets have the properties of hardening and metamorphosis, so they are not easy to be exposed to the sun for a long time.

9. For the newly received safety helmet, first check whether there is a certificate of production permitted by the labor department and a product qualification certificate, and then check whether it is damaged, whether the thickness is uniform, and whether the buffer layer, adjustment belt and elastic belt are complete and effective. If it does not meet the requirements, it should be replaced immediately upon request.

10. Wear a safety helmet when working indoors, especially when working indoors with live electricity, because the safety helmet can not only prevent collisions, but also play an insulating role.

11. When using the helmet, it should be kept clean and tidy, and it should not come into contact with the fire source, and should not be painted arbitrarily.

12. Users cannot disassemble or add accessories to the helmet at will, so as not to affect its original protective performance.

13. The user cannot adjust the size of the cap lining at will, which will directly affect the protective performance of the helmet. Once the impact of falling objects occurs, the helmet will come off due to poor wearing or directly hurt the wearer due to the impact.

14. When using the helmet, be sure to wear the helmet upright and firmly, without shaking, fasten the chin strap, and adjust the rear hoop to prevent the helmet from falling off.

15. Helmets that have been impacted or tested once should be discarded and cannot be used again.

16. It should be noted that the safety helmets are used within the validity period. The validity period of plastic safety helmets is two and a half years, and the validity period of FRP (including vinylon steel) and plastic safety helmets is three and a half years.

17. Helmets are used to prevent falling objects from injuring people, while helmets are used to prevent collisions and falls. The protection points of the two are different, and their functions are different, so they cannot be replaced. Safety helmets must be worn when entering the production site. Illegal use of safety helmets will cause damage to the safety helmet or reduce its service life.

18. The applicable temperature of the helmet is -10°C to 50°C, and it should be placed in a ventilated and dry place when not in use.
